Fit for Life and Learning
(Colleen Plumton) – located in Active Living Centre Boardroom

Fit for Life and Learning was the idea of three talented, dynamic and determined physical education students in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. They knew the issue of sedentary behaviours was experienced by university students especially year 1 students. They thought it would be great if the U of M would offer a first year health and wellness course for all students registered in their first year on campus. They used the idea for an advocacy campaign assignment in Professional Practice and were supported by a grant to research the potential of creating a pilot project for fall 2015.
