Advance Rescue Techniques (Peter Mumford) – located in Joyce Fromson Pool

Not sure the best way to use a lifejacket, adult PFD or rescue tube in a rescue?  Come and learn some new tricks as well as teaching tricks to share with others when using a rescue tube, rescue can, Lifejacket and/or Adult PFD when rescuing a Drowning Non-Swimmer and/or a submerged victim.  NOTE: This is a wet session, best way to learn is to get in.


Living Well on Campus

Planning and promoting wellness initiatives at a large post-secondary institution can be a complex task.  Creating partnerships, inspiring action, and maintaining momentum can be a challenge as departments balance multiple priorities and budget constraints.  This session will explore how the University of Manitoba has navigated the journey through the creation and implementation of our mental health & wellness strategy, and highlight specific wellness initiatives such as Live Well @ Work and our Mental Health First Aid Community of Practice.
